Announcing Jafore’s new location
It is with mixed emotions to announce the relocation of Jafore’s head office from Kyoto city to Higashi-Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture as of March 25, 2021.
On the one hand, it is with a heavy heart to inform of the discontinuation of activities run by Jafore due to various changes, such as the relocation of Megumi (our main representative) and the development of translation/interpretation technologies.
When Jafore was established in 2010, we set out to “create a community where various values and ideas are welcomed." While we wished we could continue our involvement, we believe we have fulfilled our general mission that we set at that time. That said, Jafore will continue to respond to inquiries related to community matters in Kyoto. So, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
On the other hand, we are thrilled that we will have the opportunity to build on Jafore’s success that was started in Kyoto and share it with the communities in Higashi-Hiroshima City.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all those who contributed to the creation of Jafore and who turned it into such a great organization.
I hope you will continue to support and work with Jafore as it moves to Higashi-Hiroshima.

ジャフォールから活動拠点移転のお知らせ(京都市→東広島市）
皆様に謹んでご報告いたします。
ジャフォールは、2021年3月25日をもちまして、京都市での活動に終止符をうち、広島県東広島市へ活動拠点を移し活動を始めますことをご報告申し上げます。
2010年5月に活動をスタートして以来、『いろんな考え方や価値観に開かれている「地域」をつくること』を目指し、京都で暮らす外国からきたご家族の子育てが安心で楽しくする取り組みをして参りました。
活動開始後10年という節目を区切りに京都での一定の役割を終えたと判断し、さらには代表者の転居や、スタッフメンバーの就職・子育て等の事情もあり、京都での活動には終止符を打つことにいたりました。京都でのイベント開催や集まり、対面でのご相談等の活動はなくなりますが、地域情報の蓄積や、他団体とのつながりがございますので、京都からのお問い合わせ・ご相談も引き続きお受けします。何かありましたらいつでもご相談いただけましたら幸いです。
これまで京都での活動で団体を支えてくださったボランティアの皆様、地域の皆様、ご協力いただきました関係者の皆様に心より深く御礼申し上げます。
引き続き、広島県東広島市へ活動拠点を移し、理念は変わらずに活動してまいります。
今後ともジャフォールの活動を見守り応援していただけたらとても嬉しいです。
