Oct 10, 2011 Multilingual Playgroup Picnic Report / 多言語子育てひろば ピクニック開催報告

On October 10, 2011, Multilingual Playgroup Picnic was held along Kamogawa River, near Demachiyanagi Station.

Number of participants: approx. 70

Thank you! We had so many participants at the Jafore picnic--the number set a new record. Parents, grandparents, and children currently living in Kyoto but who were born and grew up in many different countries and speak different languages gathered for the picnic. While children ran around, played in the fountain, and blew bubbles, parents talked with new people, became friends, and exchanged information. And that's exactly what we were aiming for! We were really happy to have this opportunity. The weather was perfect: clear, dry, and warm under the sun and cool in a shade with a gentle breeze. Thank you again for taking the time to be a part of Jafore picnic. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Next multilingual playgroup is on Mon. November 14, 2011 at Hokkori Heart Demachi.

10月10日、ジャフォールピクニックを開催しました。ジャフォールのイベントでの参加者数は過去最高となり、様々な国で生まれ育ち、様々な言語を話す人達に集まっていただきました。今回は祝日だったせいもあり、普段はお母さんとお子さんだけで参加されている方が、お父さんやおばあちゃんも一緒に来ていただいたというご家族もたくさんいらっしゃいました。子供たちが遊んでいる間にお母さんやお父さんの交流もでき、天気は晴れ。気温もピクニックには最適でした。ジャフォールピクニックに参加していただいた方、ありがとうございました。またみなさんに会えるのを楽しみにしています。

次回の「多言語子育てひろば」は11月14日(月)、ほっこりはあと出町で開催します。
