[Report] Mar. 11, 2013. Multilingual Playgroup / 3月11日「多言語子育てひろば」開催報告

On March 11, 2013, Jafore's Multilingual Playgroup was held at Hokkori Heart Demachi.

30 people from China, Indonesia, Philippines and Japan participated. We had an earthquake drill before starting the program because it was the day the Tohoku Earthquake occurred two years ago.

What we did….
*Free play time
*Singing time "Hello to All the Children of the World"
*Free talk (Kindergarten in Indonesia)
*Counting from one to ten in Tagalog
*Story time "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" in English

We sang our theme song, "Hello to All the Children of the World" at the opening. The lyrics of this song contains "Hello" in nine languages.

The topic of chatting was "Items children need in Japanese kindergartens". Uniforms, bags, jump ropes and etc. were displayed on the desk.
We also listened to a talk by an Indonesian mother about what kindergartens are like in her country. There were some interesting points which were different from Japanese kindergartens, such as school time and school lunch. On the other hand, the Indonesian mother said it was surprising for her to know there were pianos in Japanese kindergartens.

After free talk, we learned how to count 1-10 in Tagalog from a Philippine student.
She also read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" in English. The picture book had many colorful animals so it was easy for even the very young children to understand.

The next multilingual playgroup will be held on Monday April 8, 2013 at Hokkori Heart Demachi. We are looking forward to seeing you.

2013年3月11日、ほっこりはあと出町で「多 言語子育てひろば」が開催されました。

今回は京都市未来まちづくり100人委員会で「外国人にとって住みやすいまち・京都」について考えているグループの 方々、取材に来られた京都新聞社の記者さんをゲストにお迎えしました。
参加者は中国、インドネシア、フィリピン、日本のみなさん総勢30名でした。

今回は3月11日東日本大震災の日がおこった日でもありましたので、ひろばをはじめる前に一斉に地震訓練を行いました。

はじまりはいつものテーマソング、「Hello to all the Children of the World」をみんなで歌いました。歌詞に９つの言葉の「こんにちは」が入っている 歌です。

今回のひろばのテーマは「子供たちが幼稚園で必要なグッズ」でした。制服にお弁当、かばん、なわとび・・様々なアイテムが机の上に並べら れました。
また、インドネシアのお母さんからはインドネシアの幼稚園事情についてお話を聞くことができました。　園の始まる時間、終わる時間が早い こと、お弁当を持っていかないことなど日本との違いがいくつかあり驚かされる一方でインドネシアのお母さんは日本の幼稚園にピアノが必ず 置いてあることに驚いたとおっしゃっておられました。

おしゃべりの後はフィリピンから来られた学生さんにタガログ語で1～10までの数え方を教わりました。

絵本の時間には英語で「Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?」を読んでいただきました。動物と色を組み合わせた内容の絵本で小さな子供さんにも分かりやすい絵本でした。

次回の「多言語子育てひろば」は4月8日です。ほっこりはあと出町でお待ちしています。




＜インドネシアの幼稚園についてのお話より＞

大きく分けて2種類。

プレイグループタイプ(PAUDと呼ばれる)：コミュニティベースで運営。専用の校舎はなく、公民館、モスク、ボランティアさんの家などを借りる。決まった制服はあるが、必須ではない。3−5歳対象。週3回。様々なバックグラウンドを持った子供達が通っている。徒歩で通園。

幼稚園タイプ(TKと呼ばれる）：ほとんどが私立。授業料は高額。4-6歳、5−7歳の2クラス。宗教や教育スタイルによって様々なタイプがある。

朝7-8時から始まり、9-10時に終わる。昼食は家で食べるので、弁当を持って行く習慣はない。(軽いスナックを持って行く。)

インドネシアには5〜6の宗教があり、それぞれの宗教のイベントを1年に1回ずつ、みんなでお祝いする。

「日本に来てキャラ弁に驚きました！！園での過ごし方はほとんど日本と同じですが、インドネシアの教室にピアノはありません。5歳の息子は興味津々でした。」
